Halloween relay game.

Debbi has done this relay every year for as long as I can remember and every year it is different. She's one creative lady to come up with all these ideas. Way too funny! So it was girls against boys this year. Each station had a note you flipped over once the person next to you finished their task and finished their little cup of sprite.
First task was to put on a mask and use the whole container (which was dumped halfway out) of bubbles by blowing them through the mouth hole on the mask. Lots of laughs.
The boys team giving it a go with the bubbles.
Next task was to blindfold yourself and stick (with your teammates help) a wart on the nose, a broom on the legs and a something or other on her hat. So two witches were hung up and they had to listen to their team. Crazy!
Next up were a cute set of teddy bears. You had to put a pair of socks on your hands and slice open the bear. You had to find 5 fake bugs in the bear somewhere and the stuffing had some ketchup in it. (she had cut open the back previous to the game and put the stuff in them then hand sewed them back up.)
the ketchup and cotton didn't smell too pretty...lol
more bear guts as they look for those bugs. lol
Next there was a ball of clay and the ingredients in cups for a volcano. Except you had to do the entire thing with your elbow.
more elbows at work... =)
then i think they had to hurry and eat a candy then drink their sprite.
a cute my little book with a toilet paper roll and a fake set of ugly teeth were up next. They had to put the teeth in, look through the roll and read the entire book aloud without skipping parts. lol
We were dying...none of us could even understand Kim. LOL
Next up was complete a maze with a piece of chalk between your toes. lol
Stevie giving it a go for the boys. =)
Last was to carve a pumpkin, empty it out, stick a candle in light it then yell HAPPY HALLOWEEN! oh and drink your sprite. lol
my hands were soaked...I couldn't get the matches to light so the boys won this year....haha!
oh crap i forgot i had to blow up a balloon and tie it then sit on it and pop it then jump and yell HAPPY HALLOWEEN. lol

random pics from trip to Utah - halloween party

Jacob chillin' in the backyard of the Mery's during the baby shower.
Madelynne & Jacob bouncing away

the food table at the Halloween party. Kids had pizza some braved the yummy soups. It was fun. I'll have to post pics later of the relay...it was hilarious.

Dad came down and got to visit some old friends and then hung out at the Halloween party with us.
We did trick-or-treating from the rooms in the house after the party for the 20 kids. This was my scary costume. haha! Although my kids informed me it wasn't scary enough...i beg to differ? LOL

a new post...yay! lol Happy Birthday to Jacob!!

Hey I'm alive, I just am NOT good at blogging lately. I actually got all the pics from our trip to utah up on Facebook, but hello what's blogging for? lol :) So here's a few pics. Oh and Jacob turned 2!!! Insane how time flies!

Done deal...

I got brave and had my hair chopped off. A couple of times while the lady cut my hair my stomach was doing flips of freak out. =) lol It's fun, it grows back, but I like it for now. :) Gotta learn to work with it though...whole new ball game.
Madelynne hangin' with me while I tried to put super subtle highlights just to frame the face.
All done highlighting, but I don't think I left them in long enough??? Anyway, it works, I can see a little difference in there....sort of. haha! It ended up being about 7 inches that got chopped. Crazy!...and life goes on. ;)

Have a great Conference weekend!!

Flashback Friday!!

Shocker! It's Flashback Friday again after FOREVER! lol =)
The first pic is my younger brother, Hyrum, with me back in 1989. I was 12 and that's dad's truck he was driving at the time. We lived in Utah, but he worked in Casper so we came up to visit one week.
This was our family picture in December 2000. Benjamin was 1 and Michael was 3 months old. Dang they grew up. That was clear back in the cute stage. hahaha! Just kidding they're still cute. Just a little less ornery back then. =)

Michael turned 9!!

Michael being sneaky and watching TV upside down from the top of the stairs.
Michael had a birthday on Monday!! We celebrated on Saturday night since Theron was home. Michael had a lot of fun and got to pick the type of cake he wanted me to make. It was a late party and had him opening presents at 8:45 at night...crazy!! lol Here's a pic of his cake and the cool candles he liked. You light one and then it goes up in flames and they are all lit. Short little video too.

Theron was on filming duty and didn't get Michael very well till the end. haha!

time for a change =)

Do you ever get that feeling of wanting a change with your hair? lol That would be me lately. It's either color or cut it and I've already colored it dark (gotta hide those grays). So I found a virtual try a hairstyle at lhj (ladies home journal) and tried a few very hilarious styles and colors. I finally found one I liked that was different from the same hairstyle I've had for like the past 15 years? haha! Anyway here's the one I printed out and hope to have the guts to try...too bad i just chopped my bangs..ugh. haha! Gotta love hair drama.

Fun app though, you can even do a make-over with your make-up. The longer hairs would be the hairs I didn't have pulled up of my own.

Hopefully back in the blogging world. :)

Wow, after 4 months of no camera other than my cell phone. It's working again!!!!! Thanks Theron!! Not sure what he did, but it's back and even zooms again. woohoo! lol So now to get back in the hang of blogging. :)
We're all doing well though. Nothing really new going on. Found out my thyroid is under active after yearly testing for the past 18 years...fun fun. So the levothyroxine had definitely given me a subtle energy increase. yay! I'll take what I can get to keep up in this house. =)

Dad's driving bus for the school district here in town and enjoying it. It helps him not to get so stir crazy although he would rather have more free time to get firewood daily if he could. haha!

Theron's still busy working away with his crazy schedule. We keep hoping he can find something new before winter sets in so he can be home daily or at least weekly. That would rock!!!
My younger brother, Hyrum, has been staying with us Monday through Thursday since about mid August then goes home to Glenrock on the weekend to his family. It's been fun to have him in town after not living near him for the past 5 years. We'd usually see each other about 3 or 4 times a year. So it's been great.

The busy soccer season ended this past weekend for the 3 older boys. They all did awesome and had a lot of fun. Madelynne's working on flash cards at home with mom and learning to write her name since the preschool situation didn't work out for her this fall. They were either too full, we made too much money or the other one cost like $150 a month. Yikes! So we're home buddies another year. :)

Bubbles!

We ran out of dishwasher soap so Theron tried a little liquid dish soap...oops. lol Madelynne had fun in the bubbles though. =)
and the floor got clean at the same time so it was a productive morning there, eh? hahaha!

Another year older for Theron =)

Theron got to be home for his birthday only because his license was due to expire and he sort of needs his CDL. haha! He'll kick my butt for saying, but he turned 42 on September 8th. Woohoo! The oven wasn't working for a week (it is now) and I had to mix up the cake, put it in the pan then run it to my neighbor to cook. Pretty funny. Sure am glad to have my oven working! =)

Ben 10!

Benjamin turned 10 back on August 27th. A whole decade old. Wow!! He's grown up so much and become such a responsible boy. Love you Ben!!

Pryor Mtn firewood run. =)

We had fun going up about 17 miles past Cowley into the Pryor Mountains. There's a huge section of burn up there and firewood galore. Dad's been going up there for the past 5 years to get firewood. Today we all tagged along. Bill & Millie Shumway came too. My sister-in-law Kristi and her 3 kids as well as my 5. Woohoo..picnic in the mountains. There's a couple dozen pictures for fun. :)
Makenzi & Jacob
Michael being weird. =)

Millie, Kristi, Bill & Dad. Putting oil in the chainsaw. Getting ready to have fun.
Jacob having fun with the sticks all over. Sadly they are all burnt so we all got pretty black. He's clean here. hahaha!
Dad & Bill firing up the saws. little paul plugging his ears. =)
Madelynne plugging her ears. Then we all got used to it.
The kids all in the back of Dad's pick-up before we stacked wood in there.
Dad at work.
Bill & Benjamin in the distance and Michael is the one up close chopping at the tree.
Millie watching with the kids hanging around by her.
i think i already have this pic on here...hmmm
Kristi and me. =) It was time for sandwiches. =)
Mmmm PB&J!
Benjamin found a stump that was a nice recliner.
Bill was out of gas and oil in his chainsaw but we didn't figure that out until 4 of us had tried to start it. haha! Then when I was putting the oil in I think I got more everywhere else than in the hole. It was pretty funny.
heading down the hill to move the trucks closer to the wood
Millie hanging out with Kristi's youngest, Owen.

Benjamin trying to start Bill's saw...this was before we realized it was out of fluids. :) We had lots of fun. Got a little burnt in the process after nearly 4 house up there. It took forever. I nearly ran out of gas again on the way down. I know I know...I need to watch that gas gage better. haha!
