Dad's birthday! #72 =)

Dad was surprised we came into his room to sing to him.
He was excited to get a new blender. hahaha! He's worn the old one clear out till it squeaks and whines. =)
anxiously awaiting to help assemble it.
then the crowd moved in and between all of them they got it assembled and tested out his health shake he makes every day.
He also got chocolate covered almonds and we made a cake for him for dessert after dinner. =) He was pleasantly surprised and said it was definitely one of his better birthdays. I think all the birthday wishes on Facebook and calls today were a huge factor. =)

Hopefully back in the blogging world. :)

Wow, after 4 months of no camera other than my cell phone. It's working again!!!!! Thanks Theron!! Not sure what he did, but it's back and even zooms again. woohoo! lol So now to get back in the hang of blogging. :)
We're all doing well though. Nothing really new going on. Found out my thyroid is under active after yearly testing for the past 18 years...fun fun. So the levothyroxine had definitely given me a subtle energy increase. yay! I'll take what I can get to keep up in this house. =)

Dad's driving bus for the school district here in town and enjoying it. It helps him not to get so stir crazy although he would rather have more free time to get firewood daily if he could. haha!

Theron's still busy working away with his crazy schedule. We keep hoping he can find something new before winter sets in so he can be home daily or at least weekly. That would rock!!!
My younger brother, Hyrum, has been staying with us Monday through Thursday since about mid August then goes home to Glenrock on the weekend to his family. It's been fun to have him in town after not living near him for the past 5 years. We'd usually see each other about 3 or 4 times a year. So it's been great.

The busy soccer season ended this past weekend for the 3 older boys. They all did awesome and had a lot of fun. Madelynne's working on flash cards at home with mom and learning to write her name since the preschool situation didn't work out for her this fall. They were either too full, we made too much money or the other one cost like $150 a month. Yikes! So we're home buddies another year. :)

black and blue bloggin' =)

It must be the week for black and blue at our house instead of red white and blue. haha! Madelynne and Jacob were playing in Sunday and Jacob is in a hitting phase and clocked her in the eye with an alarm clock. lol. She hardly cried which surprised me since later when I noticed her eye I had to think back as to what it could have been from. She's a tough one. :)
My dad spent the past week up at my sister's house in Helena, MT. They did a a TON of 4 wheeling over this past weekend. He got a chance to go back up with just my brother-in-law RJ the other day and they rode for nearly 7 hours. (insane) Anyway, they were going up a steep part and RJ stopped for a moment so my dad pulled up next to him in a spot near a ledge and one wheel went over so dad bailed and went tumbling down the hill and snow drift to be stopped by a tree stump right in the ribs. Then RJ was a quick dude and put his brake on fast grabbed Dad's 4 wheeler before it could go over the edge then went tumbling down after my Dad to see if he was all right and he hit the same stump in the rear and was super sore. So they're both sporting some serious bruises. (that was my retelling of dad's story...which means I either skipped parts or embellished not knowing what really happened.) haha! So I guess I just had to be there. Then after they got to the feet they both looked at each other and just started laughing!! CrAzY people! And you wonder where I get my sense of humor? lol
