Michael turned 9!!

Michael being sneaky and watching TV upside down from the top of the stairs.
Michael had a birthday on Monday!! We celebrated on Saturday night since Theron was home. Michael had a lot of fun and got to pick the type of cake he wanted me to make. It was a late party and had him opening presents at 8:45 at night...crazy!! lol Here's a pic of his cake and the cool candles he liked. You light one and then it goes up in flames and they are all lit. Short little video too.

Theron was on filming duty and didn't get Michael very well till the end. haha!

Another year older for Theron =)

Theron got to be home for his birthday only because his license was due to expire and he sort of needs his CDL. haha! He'll kick my butt for saying, but he turned 42 on September 8th. Woohoo! The oven wasn't working for a week (it is now) and I had to mix up the cake, put it in the pan then run it to my neighbor to cook. Pretty funny. Sure am glad to have my oven working! =)

Ben 10!

Benjamin turned 10 back on August 27th. A whole decade old. Wow!! He's grown up so much and become such a responsible boy. Love you Ben!!

#7 for Paul! Happy Birthday!

I sent Paul to the other side of the store with my dad to pick out a cake and frosting that he likes for me to make while I shopped for a few presents. Next thing I know he's got his name on this one and said he likes it the best. I laughed. That works. He was due to be born on the 4th of July, but came a little after 9pm the night before in Ukiah, California.
My mom and dad drove out that day from Salt Lake City, Utah and made it to Ukiah before he was even born. So they got to be here when he came into the world. It was a great day!
Theron's mother, Ruth, was living with us at the time and was so thrilled to see another grand-child.
Theron's brother, Lance, came and stayed with us for a week before Paul was born to help me out around the house. He took Benjamin for a looooooong walk one day and wore that little guy out. He was an endless supply of energy so I remember being amazed that someone had subdued him. hahaha!
We're sure glad you're in our family, Paul!

New Year's and Alice's birthday

I'm sitting here trying to upload pictures and Paul whispers down the stairs to me that Madelynne is playing with my make-up in the bathroom upstairs. So I go up there and there's Madelynne with her hair slicked back with who knows what....from the smell it was lavender lotion. My contacts and solution were on the counter...time to change them for sure. haha! And there was hair all over the bathroom floor with a guilty looking pair of scissors sitting in the middle of it all. Boy oh boy do I wish I had my camera...sigh. So now I can't remember what I was going to write about my trip to Salt Lake for New Year's and my birthday. hahahaha! Here's a couple pictures though. :) Oh, New Year's Eve was over at Rick and Nicole Mery's house. It was a lot of fun. We ended up staying awake till after 4am....ugh. Boy am I thankful for that 4 hour nap today. woohoo!
This was my little cupcake at 3:52pm when I was officially another year older. LOL
Theron and Jacob looking might excited to be wearing party hats. :)
Stevie, Andrew, Paul and Benjamin posing with the birthday girl....oh hey there's Lexi squished in the middle.
Lexi, me & Tali
Jacob with mom's toothbrush and dad's hat. Too cute!
This is my birthday cake that Tali made.
I was engrossed in my first attempt to play the Wii....photos later please. hahahaha!
Theron eating breakfast with all of Tali & Steve's kids and our kids....except for Stevie.
I made a TON of homemade salsa to take out to Rick and Nicole's for New Year's. It was super nummy.
Another salsa shot...Mmmmm!

All about Jacob!!

Jacob turned 1 today! It's amazing how the past year has flown. We did a little cake for him and sang. Jacob hammed it up as you can see in the video and pictures below. :) Jacob is crawling at lightning speed all around the house. He'll stand up and balance without holding anything, but won't take any steps by himself yet. He's pretty close to walking. I keep telling him to slow down and stay little. Funny how that never works. I remember saying that to all of them and time kept marching on. LOL! Anyway, Happy Birthday Jacob!! We love you bubbers!
p.s. Michael is the cameraman in this little clip and laughed till he couldn't breath when he watched it again and heard his little growling Godzilla moment at the end then the scratchy breaking up noises....silly boy.

new frontiers...=]

Hey there! It's been a while. I update myspace then this one gets neglected...lol. Here's a new post Kristi...heehee. Life is good. Even better now that soccer is over. It's always fun to go to the games, but after a while and 3 players later you go insane with all the running around. Saturday was the 5 hour tournament and each boy had 2 games. Thankfully Paul and Michael were on the same team. Benjamin's were three blocks away so Grandpa got to sit in at his for the cheering section when games overlapped.

The other day the boys were playing soccer in the enclosed porch and Ben kicked a goal right through a window. Pretty funny. Thankfully it was only $35 to replace. He's working it off. Poor guy came running in to me with a completely freaked out face and told me he broke the window. There are days I really loathe disciplining my kids, but then I also think I'd better do something or they'll think it's okay behavior....i swear. I told him I really appreciated him telling me right away and being honest....a quality on the verge of extinction these days...lol.

Let's see....what else is new for us. Oh, I'm the new Primary singing leader at church. Yesterday was my first time and I felt it was extremely unorganized and we ran out of time. I swear.....I can't even imagine the day that it's easy to get up there and not be freaked out. Imagine I have to teach these kids the songs when I don't even know them. HAHAHAHAHA! At one point I was leading them in the second verse of some song and halfway through I reverted us to the ending of the first verse. It was a little humorous. A couple of the teachers in back were having quite a chuckle. =] One day..... lol

Michael's 8th birthday was yesterday. He's sure growing up. We came home from church and he was sort of bummed saying he really wanted a cake and I played along that there wasn't time to bake one since church was at 9am. Then after lunch I lit the candles on the cake I'd baked the night before and had hiding in the microwave so then when we started singing he was still bummed it was over ice-cream and his little face lit up like Christmas at seeing the cake. It was way cool. His expression was better than when he opened his presents. lol. Theron was always about the cake growing up too. Forget the presents, he always looked forward to mom baking a cake just for him. The slide show below has a few pics to go with everything we've had going on so far.
