Baby Tag
1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? Benjamin - downstairs in mom and dad's house in Salt Lake, Michael - i have a really bad memory, but I think we were at tali's house in north slc...not sure, Paul - apt. in Cornelius, Or., first miscarriage - mom and dad's house in Salt Lake, Madelynne - teeny tiny house in Cowley, second miscarriage - other house in Cowley, Jacob - other house in Cowley.
2- Who was with you? Benjamin - alone, Michael - Theron and i think Steve & Tali, 1st miscarriage - Theron, Madelynne - alone, 2nd miscarriage - Theron, Jacob - Theron.
3 How did you find out that you were pregnant? HPT for all of them
4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? Benjamin - STUNNED, Michael - blown away...for some reason I thought nursing was birth control...yes...i was naive. lol, Paul - super excited!!, 1st miscarriage - very happy since I'd been told I wouldn't have anymore kids...excited. Madelynne - FREAKED OUT...totally didn't think I could do another miscarriage and had only miscarried a month before I found out I was pregnant again. 2nd miscarriage - happy and excited! Jacob - very apprehensive and a little bit in shock, but hopeful.
5- Your Husbands reaction? On top of the world for all of them!!
6- Who was the first person you told? Theron for all of them.
7-Did you plan to get pregnant? Truthfully, Paul was the only "planned" pregnancy. lol
8-Was everybody happy for you? No, every pregnancy amazingly had people dropping negative comments.
9- Did you go out and celebrate? Of course!
10- Did you want to find out the sex? Yes....then didn't ask for the last two to see if the doctor slipped up and he did...lol
11- What was the sex? Boy, Boy, Boy, ?, Girl, ?, Boy
12-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Tali threw me one for Benjamin, as well as the R.S in my ward ....and my forgetful brain spaced Madelynne's....THANK YOU megan!!!!

14- Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you weren't going to put on your baby? Not that I can remember. :)
15- How much weight did you gain? I always get super sick and lose like 20 pounds in the first trimester so from that point I will basically gain back what I lost in sickness....nursing is when i gained my weight though...ugh
16- Did you loose all of the weight that you gained? No, I've still got 40 to go....yeehaw
17- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? I got two on each hip while pregnant with Michael and none the rest of the pregnancies.
18- What did you crave the most? Benjamin - li hing moy (totally didn't spell that right), Michael - can't remember, Paul - chocolate oreos...lol, 1st miscarriage - can't remember, Madelynne - the veggie sandwich from the sunset house in Cody and french fries dipped in ranch, 2nd miscarriage - can't remember, Jacob - BLTs lol

20- Who or what got on your nerves the most? People asking me why I'd want another kid....or having all of their feet tucked up under my left ribs..ugh...don't miss that one.

22- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Benjamin - I caught Mono some how and ended up getting deathly sick and in to the hospital for a couple time for dehydration, Michael - I had a kidney stone at 6 months pregnant and heat stroke at 7 months pregnant, Paul - nope, Madelynne - early bleeding that freaked me out, but ended up being nothing, Jacob - nope other than it was the hardest of all the pregnancies and I seemed to tire out more and ended up on Iron supplements. Obviously there were complications with the 2 miscarriages....not sure what.
23- Where were you when you went into labor? Benjamin - induced for high blood pressure so hospital, Michael - at my mom and dad's while making lunch. Mom saw me stop from time to time to catch my breath then suggest the novel idea of timing my contractions...they were 5 mintues apart. 1st miscarriage - home with Theron. Madelynne - I was at our teeny tiny house in Cowley at 11 ish at night. We had to stop for gas on the way since the tank was low...lol. 2nd miscarriage - again home with Theron. Jacob - we were walking around Cowley trying to start labor...it worked. :)
24- Did your water break? not once! had to have the doctor break it every single time.
25-don't know what happened to this one either lol
26- Did you go early or late? Benjamin - 2 days late, Michael - was scheduled to be induced the same day he came but came on his own, Paul - was due July 4th, but my doctor was going out of town so he induced me the 3rd and he came after 9pm, Madelynne - came a week early, Jacob - personally i think his due date was way off, but going by the doctor's he was 2 days early...by mine...i say a week late.
27- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? Benjamin - my mom, my sister-in-law Raegan, Dr. Mary Beard & a nurse. Michael - Theron, my mom, Dr. Jeanne Gemmell & two nurses. Paul - Theron, my mom, my dad (totally forgot he was lying on the floor after just getting into town...lol) Dr. Cho & 2 nurses. Madelynne - Theron, Dr. Rand Flory & a nurse. Jacob - Theron, 2 nurses, Dr. Kelly Christensen.
28- Was it video taped? None of them were. Theron was too traumatized to even run a camera. It was about an hour later that he could manage pictures on the cell phone to send out. :)
29- Did you have any drugs for the pain? Benjamin - epidural, Michael - epidural, Paul - no, Madelynne - intrathecal that wore off, Jacob - another intrathecal that wore off
30-Did you go vaginal or have a c-section? vaginal
31- What was your first reaction after giving birth? Benjamin - I got emotional and choked up. Michael - relieved to have him here safe and sound after a rough pregnancy. Paul - joy! Madelynne - surprise at actually having a girl, very happy. Jacob - very emotional and happy...kept telling him how glad I was he was here.
32- How big was the baby(s)? Benjamin - 9lb 1oz, Michael - 8lb 15oz, Paul - 8lb 12oz, Madelynne - 7lb 10oz, Jacob 9lb 6oz...i think...i got forgetful there at the end. He was the biggest though.
33- Did your Husband cry? yes, he got emotional at all of them
34- What did you name the baby(s)? Benjamin Theron, Michael Lance, Paul Partridge, Madelynne Ruth, Jacob Anthony.
35-Did the name have any significance to you? Benjamin for King Benjamin in the scriptures and Theron after his dad, Michael was Theron's pick from the scriptures and Lance is his older brother that doesn't have kids of his own, Paul after his grandpa & Partridge for my maiden name, Madelynne was what I was going to name Benjamin if he was a girl then after mom died I changed the spelling to add mom's name (Lynne) and Ruth is the name of my grandmother and Theron's mother, Jacob was a name we both agreed on with our scripture theme and Anthony is a name I've loved forever since I was a little girl. :)
36-Does the baby's name fit? oh yeah! :)
37-Did the baby have any complications? No complications at all except for Paul's body temp down a little too low but after cuddling with me for a couple hours he was fine. Very blessed.
38- How old is your baby today? 9, 8, 6, 3 & 1
39- When is the next one(s) coming? I have no plans and really don't think I could do it again. I know I'll love being a grandma though one day!
40- If you could would you do it all over again? Definitely Yes!
